I'm Doin' It, Doin' It, Doin' It Well...

One day I decided to give away my clothes to wear practically all white, challenging me to be more creative with my style. I learned a great deal during that stint in my life. I was at the height of my spiritual center, returned from India from believing I was releasing myself from my worldly possessions (except not really), when life had it's way with me and took me on a journey. It led, I followed. Around each corner was an opportunity awaiting for me to see, polish and revamp the concepts I held onto so tightly. So I held on until it was time to show...

To be limited by choice and develop within those limitations allows one to think creatively and the process can be fun and fulfilling. To be limited by chance adds an emotional barrier to overcome. As a part of my creative process, I sometimes begin with a physical act of movement before working on creative concepts, allowing me to step beyond preconceived notions of what I think will make.

My constancy to learning shapes my perspective and elevates my work. Creating artwork using recycled materials and reclaimed processes can be challenging, rewarding and fulfilling. During the beginning phase, I make use of my experiences gathering found materials to inspire my artwork, offering me the choice to exercise my creative liberties in a way that offers a more rich experience for the tangible and digital products I develop.
